AMERICAN SONGWRITERS AND MUSICIANS
JOIN TOGETHER ON COMMUNITY DIGITAL ALBUM
IN SUPPORT OF CAMP OF THE SACRED STONES

I was asked, “When do you consider this pipeline issue to be over?” I said, when every pipe is out of the ground and the earth is repaired across the United States. I am not negotiating, I am not backing down. I must stand for our grandchildren and for the water.

STANDING WITH
THE STANDING ROCK

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe issued a Call To Action for Tribes, First Nations, Organizations, Cities and Businesses, both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Peoples in the United States and globally, to support their efforts to oppose the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Many songwriters and recording artists have indicated their support of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Sparrows Wheel has taken the initiative to create a Community Digital Album project to support the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

The project is called Swimming In Blackwater.

UPDATE:  Songwriters and recording artists, in respect of the Chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's request for people to leave camp, have requested to continue the project in support of the Camp Of The Sacred Stones to support their nonviolent protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Swimming In Blackwater - Prelude features the three recording artists who launched the project.
